Important Announcement The enactment of the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act 2008 (VGBA) has made modifications and upgrades necessary to all suction outlets including existing drain boxes, attraction suction boxes, jet suction boxes and grates that cover them in order to be compliant with the new laws by December 19, 2008. At a minimum, each facility will be required to replace the grate(s) on all submerged suction outlets and assess the system for possible entrapment or entanglement issues. It is up to the pool owners to take the proper steps to resolve this issue. Failure to comply with the new code will put pools at risk of being shut down and may create huge liability issues for the owners. There are now several approved grates available on the market to fit your needs.
